Edjaun Cinclair "E. J." Biggers (born June 13, 1987, in Miami, Florida) is an American football cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. Biggers played college football at Western Michigan University.[1]

Early years

Biggers played both defensive back and quarterback while starting all three years at North Miami Beach High School. He was named Dade County Player of the Year as a senior.[2]

College career

2005 season

Biggers appeared in nine games and started three as a true freshman for Western Michigan University. Made his collegiate debut against the University of Virginia Cavaliers.[1]

2006 season

Biggers started all 12 games for the Broncos, and made his first career reception (for a touchdown) against the University of Cincinnati in the inaugural International Bowl.

2007 season

Biggers again started all 12 games for the Broncos. He set a career mark for tackles against the University of Missouri. Finished his college career with 16 interceptions

Professional career

Biggers was selected with the eighth pick in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One week into his first NFL season, Biggers suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in practice, and was placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the year.

Biggers made his NFL career debut when he started in Tampa's week 1 matchup against the Cleveland Browns for a suspended Aqib Talib.[3] Biggers not only recorded his first tackle in the NFL (finished the game with six), but recorded his first interception against the Brown's Jake Delhomme.[4]
